Jack's Waterfront
Building on a Tradition!

The "Quonset Hut," which is the main structure of Jack's Waterfront Restaurant, was built in the 1950's and had been used as a boat storage and repair building for years.

A couple of locals, while visiting the marina and seeing the area as a prime spot for building a restaurant and waterfront bar, brainstormed the idea of building one on the waters edge near the "hut". The resulting creation was the work of Dr. Eugene Boyle, and brothers- Thomas and Michael Le Fevre. Ground was broken in October of 1993 and the construction job was completed in April 1994. Additions and improvements to the original "Hut" is what makes Jack's such a unique structure for your next dining experience.

The marina and the private roads have been expanded and a 1000 foot boardwalk/boat dock was added to service our boating crowd. An outdoor pool, Shower/bath facilities and patio overlooking Lake St. Clair were designed for use and pleasure of all Jack's patrons. The full service Tiki Bar was built around the exterior of the existing structure for weekend music and our huge happy hour crowd so they can enjoy the outdoor scenery.

Jack's has incorporated two large boats right within the restaurant to recreate the nautical atmosphere of boats being pulled in, worked on, and stored in the original Quonset Hut. These signature boats, christened "R.J.L." and "E.H.B.", can be accessed for special occasions, office parties and dining.

The interior of the spacious Quonset Hut includes the main dining room, which has a fireplace, a lounge with live music and dancing area, and a screened-in porch and Bar, all accessible from the waterfront. Patrons are invited to come by boat, car or even seaplane and enjoy great food and drinks. Our dockside services also include catering aboard your personal pleasure craft and overnight docking. With full time security and valet parking you can rest assured that Jack's is the place to be. With a spectacular view of Lake St. Clair and all surrounding marinas, Jack's offers something for everyone... from families with kids to the night life and happy hour crowd.
